Instant Indexing
Start by building quality content on your blog, By doing this it will be an easy step to get your blog indexed in Google and the other search engines.
So what does “Indexed” mean?
The term being “indexed” means that Google has visited your site and stored information about it in their massive database. Google indexes site in order to return search results quickly to their users. They simply need to search their internal database to see if any sites match the criteria that someone searching on their home page is looking for. So make sure that you tell Google about each new piece of content, as it’s updated on your site Google should be your next port of call Go and Tell Google.
Does it matter that Google know about site?
When someone types in a search term into the Google search box, Google looks through their internal database only to find results. If your site matches the request, (and ranks highly enough), Google will display a link to your site in its search results. But in order to ever be included in these results, you have to be indexed first. So if you want free traffic from Google, you need to get indexed.
How to get indexed in the Search Engines
Google regularly re-indexes all the websites in their database, they do this in order to keep their search results current or to see if anything has changed and to make sure the data they have is up to date. During this process, they will also “follow” any new links on the pages they are re-indexing. This means, they will visit new sites that existing sites link to and while they’re there, they index these new sites, too.
This is how the Google database grows and is by far the easiest way to get a new site indexed. Just get a link to your site on a site that’s already in Google database. And the more popular the site, the more often Google re-indexes it. So the more quickly your site gets indexed. This is also known as a back-link.
Build a Sitemap
A Sitemap is basically a glossary of every link on your site, it’s a simple process to make one, and I won’t go into all the details here about how to make a sitemap, there are many sites that can explain this process far better than me. Once your sitemap is built you can use webmaster tools to tell Google first hand that you are first the owner, and second here is a map of my site. (Remember to update the map at Google on a regular time slot) So that Google knows if any new content and pages have been added. This process can be duplicated in Yahoo and Bing as well.
If your content is being constantly tweaked for instance if it’s a blog you can submit to the submission sites listed below for each new permanent link that is added to your site.
